The CLA today congratulated Tom Taylor on his appointment as CEO of the Agricultural and Horticultural Development Board (AHDA).

The rural economy experts work closely with the levy board to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of various agriculture sectors within the UK. The CLA welcomed the appointment of the new CEO.

CLA Deputy President Harry Cotterell said: “The AHDB has a critical role in providing near market research and development and market information for our industry. We supported the bringing together of the old levy bodies because there are efficiencies to be gained, and synergies to be realised, by having them operate cohesively on one site.

“Tom Taylor has a big challenge to stitch this new organisation together swiftly and minimise the disruption to levy payer services. We wish him well and look forward to an early meeting.”
