A delegation of 30 cashew exporters lead by Shri Harikrishnan R. Nair, Vice-Chairman of the Council visited Indonesia, Vietnam and Cambodia from 20th to 31st October 2009. Shri K. Sasi Varma Secretary of Council was also present.

The delegation met with various cashew buyers, raw cashewnut suppliers, machinery manufactures etc. in these countries and had a first hand experience of cashew processing as it is done in Vietnam. Various new machineries used in cashew processing were also seen in action in detail. In all these countries, the delegation also had interactive meetings with the Indian mission officials. They also had an interactive meeting with the Secretary of State (equivalent to the Minister of State), Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry ad Fisheries, Government of Cambodia.
